On October 7, 2023, during the sacred holiday of Shmini Atzeret, our beloved Israel faced an unprecedented threat. Hamas terrorists launched a relentless attack from Gaza, unleashing thousands of rockets, breaching our borders, and inflicting heavy casualties on our people.
In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel had no choice but to defend itself. He issued the order to initiate "Operation Swords of Iron."
In these trying times, we've mobilized our efforts to stand by our brave soldiers, the IDF, and the residents of Israel's south and north. As the conflict intensifies, our resolve grows stronger, but we need you help!
Yad Ezer L'Haver Founder and CEO, Shimon Sabag
Following the intense fighting in the south and the north, our Haifa-based organization, led by our founder and CEO, Shimon Sebag, immediately convened an urgent emergency meeting. We conducted a special situation assessment in light of the ongoing conflict and the challenging security situation in the south, with rocket fire threatening Israeli communities.
Our "Emergency and Distress Center" swiftly escalated its readiness to the highest level. We prepared comprehensively to aid and assist the families of soldiers and wounded residents hospitalized across the country, as well as the brave IDF soldiers called upon for Operation "Iron Swords." Our efforts extend to Holocaust survivors, elderly individuals, and indigent families in the southern region, as well as residents of Haifa and the north as required.
We've enlisted hundreds of dedicated volunteers for the battle effort and to provide aid during Operation "Swords of Iron." Our volunteers have fanned out to various hospitals nationwide, offering support to IDF soldiers and civilians injured in the conflict zones. Many have brought comfort through food, baked goods, and refreshing drinks for the families of the wounded.
Our association also ventured into assembly areas, where hundreds of soldiers have gathered. We distributed essential sanitary equipment to these brave individuals, including toothpaste, towels, soaps, blankets, sheets, tefillin, and more.
You asked how to help Holocaust Survivors, Soldiers, and Israeli Citizens... Now is your chance!
